Introductory Note on 2nd Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference

The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing and Pakistan Consulates in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shanghai have taken the initiative to organize the 2nd Pakistan-China Business to Business (B2B) Investment Conference in Beijing on 4 September 2025. This high-level Conference builds on the momentum generated by its first edition held in June 2024 in Shenzhen city and subsequent B2B roadshows organized in China between October 2024 and January 2025.
Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, Pakistan Consulates in China, Special Investment Facilitation Council, Board of Investment and Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industries & Production and other relevant Federal Ministries and Provincial Departments are coordinating preparations for this important Conference.
The Conference will feature participation of and day-long B2B networking sessions among 700 Pakistani and Chinese enterprises to explore mutually beneficial investment proposals in ten priority sectors identified by Pakistan. These sectors include:
a) Electric Vehicles, Batteries, and Charging Stations; b) Solar Panel & Parts Manufacturing and PV Power Storage; c) Software development & Fintech
d) Textile and Apparel; e) Leather & Footwear; f) Chemicals and Petrochemicals; g) Iron, Steel, and Copper; h) Construction; i) Food Processing: Meat and Poultry, Fisheries, Fruits & Vegetables, Agri-tech, Animal feed, Dairy farming & Agri-chemicals.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan will preside over and deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Other key Federal Ministers from Pakistan will also be present. Important senior Chinese dignitaries in the investment and trade circles will also be attending and speaking at the Conference.
The opening session will feature a video showcasing special incentives for Chinese investors in priority sectors. The opening ceremony will be followed by B2B meetings among Pakistani and Chinese enterprises in each sector. On-site interpretation will be provided during B2B sessions. Chinese enterprises may choose to bring their own interpreter and inform the organizers beforehand.
Purpose:
The second edition of this B2B event aims to identify additional pathways for practical cooperation between the business enterprises of Pakistan and China. An associated aim is to attract foreign direct investment from small, medium and large enterprises of China in the aforementioned 10 priority sectors. The Conference is being organized to provide opportunities for business enterprises from both countries to explore win-win investment partnerships, joint ventures and technology transfer agreements
The ultimate purpose of this effort is to harness the time-tested Chinese management practices, cutting-edge technology and finance for deployment in the form of joint ventures between Pakistani and Chinese sectoral counterparts so that productive capacity of the country is enhanced and the volume and value of its exports increased.
Key Features
This edition of the B2B Conference is unique because of its purpose, content, outcomes and preparatory process. Prior to the organization of this Conference, participants from both sides are being given Chinese and English versions of specially designed sectoral investment pitch books.
This Conference is also unique because of prioritization of enterprises on the basis of concrete proposals and precise requirements (so that they can be matched); due to organization of prior online orientation sessions and pre-arrival sector-wise meetings between enterprises from both countries to understand each other’s expectations and to prepare for potential announcements or signing of agreements and MoUs at the Conference.
After the B2B meetings end in the afternoon, a closing session will be organized in the presence of the Prime Minister at 5 pm to witness announcements and signing of agreements and MoUs.
Practical Information
B2B meeting schedules will be arranged in advance and provided to enterprises prior to the event. On-site coordination teams will be available throughout the day. Enterprises from both countries are encouraged to bring company profiles, brochures, feasibility studies in both Chinese and English languages.
The leaders of enterprises from both sides as well as other participants will be hosted for a dinner after the closing ceremony at the hotel. The Prime Minister of Pakistan will also attend this dinner.
There will be opportunities for follow-up meetings on 5th and 6th September between enterprises and where feasible site visits. The Pakistan government, Embassy and Consulates representatives will be available to facilitate post-conference engagement, visits to Pakistan and project-level policy support.
Due to high level participation, enhanced security arrangements will be in place. Please fill out and submit participation forms online in a timely manner by uploading biographical page of your passport and your recent white background photo. These participation forms will be used to prepare the Conference badges. These badges must be worn by all participants all the time while at China World Hotel. Without these badges, entry to the Conference venue will not be permissible.
